Our Learn to Play program is designed to develop future Jr. Lumberjacks who have a desire to play the game of hockey from standing up on ice skates to graduating into our Mini-Mite (6U)/Mite (8U) hockey program all while having fun and creating a love for being on the ice!

This is a Learn to Play program. Children signed up should have some skating experience/skills. If you feel your child would be better suited in a Learn to Skate program please visit www.lakeshoresportscentre.com for details. 

In addition to our highly qualified coaches, each week there will be players from one of the local Varsity hockey programs and some sessions will even have players from the Muskegon Lumberjacks!

Learn to Play - Session 1 - Registration 

October 20 - November 17

January 26 - February 23 

Each 5-week session will occur weekly on Sundays at Lakeshore Sports Centre

Mandatory Equipment

It is required that all participants wear some form of helmet (hockey, bicycle, etc.), some form of gloves and skates (if necessary skates will be made available at LSC).  We recommend snow pants or other form of water-resistant outerwear, as well as knee pads and elbow pads.  We want this experience to be fun, therefore a little cushion will help skaters get up and keep trying!
