    Junior Jacks Give Back

Muskegon has a long history of youth hockey and during this traditional time of giving, the Muskegon Junior Jacks will be launching a new campaign, #jrjacksgiveback. We want to make sure we are giving back to our players by showcasing their gifts to the community. It will highlight and thank our players for being important members of not only the Junior Jacks, but of Muskegon, by giving them a shout-out. These youth are the future of our area and we want them to know just how many people are supporting them in all areas of their lives.

This campaign is about more than just hockey though, it is about showcasing the person behind the jersey number. We will be selecting Junior Jacks Players to highlight on our social media sites each week. We know that each of our player’s has something very special to offer our community and all submissions will be recognized. Here at the Junior Jacks we are about more than just building great hockey players, we are about guiding our local youth to become the best individuals that they can be in all areas of life. Life skills are the focus and we pride ourselves in our continued efforts of putting the player’s overall best interests first.

We are asking that everyone be on the lookout for Junior Jacks Players who are going above and beyond what is expected. This can be helping someone in need, being a good friend, volunteering, or persevering in difficult times. Basically, if you think they are deserving of recognition, then so do we and we want to tell them so.

Submit a photo of the player via PM, along with their team (if you know it), and a bit about why you would like this player recognized. Submissions can be sent to our Facebook page, posted on Instagram, don’t forget to tag us @juniorlumberjacks and hashtag #jrjacksgiveback or send by e-mail to juniorjackshockey@gmail.com. Please make sure that it is a pdf file if sending by e-mail. Any community member may nominate any player, so keep those eyes peeled.

We are excited to see all of our players highlighted throughout the remainder of the season, so start sending in your submissions today.

    Tournaments

The Junior Jacks are proud to announce that we will be hosting the Peewee A District 6 Tournament and Squirt AA State Tournament this year. District's will be held February 3rd-5th and State's will be March 3rd-5th.

We are very excited about bringing these tournaments to the Junior Jacks, as well as to Muskegon in general. In order for these tournaments to be the best they can be we are looking for parent volunteers for both the planning portion and the day of operations. If you are interested, please contact either Jay Ring, jayring333@yahoo.com or Janel VanDyke, irelandwildrose@gmail.com to find out more information about how you can help.
